Microsoft has released a modern and refreshed look for Model-driven apps as part of 2023 Release Wave 2 and it is generally available for all regions. The new look provides updated styling including fonts, colours, borders, shadows, and more that align to the latest Microsoft Fluent design system.
What is Power Apps? Power Apps is a service for building and using custom business apps that connect to your data and work across web and mobile - without the time and expense of custom software development. You can learn more about Power Apps and the wider Power Platform here.
Improvements Designed specifically for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, WhatsApp4Dynamics is a cutting-edge productivity app. It's the perfect tool for users wanting to leverage the power of WhatsApp without leaving the familiar CRM environment. This app is a boon for sales, services, and marketing teams. It offers:
Updated option set fields to use the new Fluent drop-down control.
Updated date time fields to use the new Fluent date picker and drop-down control.
Updated duration fields to use the new Fluent combo box control.
Dialogues have been updated to use the new modern design.
Grids have been updated to use the new Power Apps grid control
Dashboards have been updated to use modern design, including a new command bar and integrated sub-grids using the new Power Apps grid control.
App header colours can now be customised to align with organisational branding. (Use modern theme doc)
Try the new look End users can now control the look and feel of each application by enabling a “Try the new look” feature toggle in the header. This new mechanism for end users allows them to opt-in for any given application at their convenience and work at their own pace. They can switch back at any time. If a user decides to switch back, Microsoft provides a survey, allowing them to understand how the system can be improved. Power Apps is leveraged as part of our Membership Experience Platform MemEx, and the new modern look for model-driven apps will benefit MemEx users via a refreshed user experience.
